Positioning: Since every helmet is different, the final adjustment requires some bending of the spoke to get the mirror where it needs to be on a particular helmet. Don't be afraid to bend it, it's a bike spoke and it won't break from bending it. The mirror also easily adjusts from side to side by twisting it gently on the spoke thread. Place your left finger in your left ear and bend the spoke until you can see your finger. This will require you to take the helmet on and off a few times and hold the mirror onto the helmet while you are bending it and testing it’s position. You won't be able to see straight behind you while facing straight ahead, you will always have to turn your head slightly to the left to see directly behind you. It will take a few rides to get comfortable using the Tiger Eye to see behind you, but soon it will become second nature.
Cleaning and Storage: Clean with soap and water or Windex, and keep it out of direct sun. We learned during the Polar Vortex incidents in 2013-2014 that it is unwise to store your Tiger Eye in extreme cold. Apparently, the mirror and the bonding agent expand and contract at different rates and the onset of extreme cold (in the teens) can irreversibly damage the mirror.
